CALL CENTER GIRL is a story about Teresa “Terry” Manlapat (Pokwang), an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who had been away from her family for 13 years, to help support their needs by working in a cruise ship. She comes back, only to find out that her husband just passed away. She is also faced with the problem of reuniting with her children, who had been terribly affected by the absence of a mother for many years. To re-establish her life in the Philippines, she looks for work and lands a job in a call center, which happens to be where her youngest daughter Regina (Jessy Mendiola) also works at. She sees this as a good opportunity for her to get close again to Regina, who is not too happy to see her again, thinking that she (Terry) had abandoned them during her growing years when she needed a mother. As they daily face the challenges and stress of call center life, and get to meet people from diverse backgrounds, Terry and Reg also learn from the lives of others, and eventually the true value of family.
